The STORM Cyber & AI Research Symposium does not end when the presentations wrap up.

On October 3, 2026, students can continue the day with the SentinelOne Capture the Flag (CTF) competition at Coastline College from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM, immediately following the Symposium.

The CTF gives students an opportunity to put their cybersecurity skills into action through hands-on challenges that encourage problem-solving, teamwork, persistence, and technical thinking.

Whether you are already experienced with cybersecurity competitions or looking to try a CTF for the first time, this event is designed to provide an engaging way to test your skills in a practical environment.

Participants will have the chance to:

• solve cybersecurity challenges;
• practice critical thinking and technical problem-solving;
• work alongside other students interested in cyber and AI;
• build confidence through hands-on experience; and
• continue networking after the STORM Cyber & AI Research Symposium.

The SentinelOne CTF is a natural extension of the Symposium’s theme of exploring innovation in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

The CTF takes place immediately after the STORM Cyber & AI Research Symposium, which runs earlier in the day.
